What has actually changed

Everyone can produce more now.

Production stopped being the hard part. Which is why the questions businesses are asking us have changed.

  • Message
What should we actually be saying?
  • Audience
Who are we really trying to reach?
  • Difference
    What makes us worth choosing?
  • Channels
    Which of these actually matter?
  • Evidence
    And what is genuinely working?

More content isn't the answer.Clarity is.

How we work

StrategyStoryAction

Three stages, in that order, because the order is the point. Skip the first and the second has nothing to stand on. Skip the second and the third is just output.

Strategy

We work out what matters, who matters, and where the opportunity actually lies.

Usually the shortest stage and always the one that changes the most. It is where the uncomfortable questions get asked and answered.

Story

We find the idea, the message and the point of view that make the business worth noticing.

Not a tagline. The thing you actually believe, said in a way that sounds like you and not like everybody else in the category.

Action

We turn that thinking into marketing that gets made, gets out, and gets seen.

This is where the right tools earn their place, AI included. Faster, cheaper, and pointed at something worth saying.

Most marketing starts at Action. That is why so much of it disappears.

AI is remarkably good at the third stage. It has no view on the first two. That judgement is what you are actually buying, and it is the part that does not get cheaper.

The offer

Four weeks. One clear direction.

Right now

Marketing happens in bursts, decided in the moment. The business has moved on and the messaging has not quite caught up. Everyone is busy and nobody is certain what is working.

Four weeks later

You know what you stand for, who you are talking to and what to do next, in that order. Decisions take minutes rather than meetings, because the thinking has already been done.

  1. Week one

    We look properly

A full audit of the brand and the marketing as it stands, including how the website and the customer journey actually behave rather than how they were meant to. Honest findings, no diplomacy tax.

    • Brand and marketing audit
    • Website and journey review
    • Social and content review
  2. Week two

    We work out the position

A working session with you, not a presentation at you. Who the priority audience really is, what makes the business worth choosing, and where the messaging has drifted from the truth.

    • Positioning review
    • Strategic working session
    • Audience priorities
  3. Week three

    We write it down

Refreshed core messaging you can hand to anyone, plus a straight look at where AI genuinely saves you time and where it quietly costs you credibility.

    • Refreshed core messaging
    • AI opportunities and workflow
  4. Week four

    We make it usable

A practical ninety day roadmap with owners and order of play, and a selection of ready-to-use assets so the first month runs itself rather than waiting on someone finding a spare afternoon.

    • 90 day marketing roadmap
    • Ready-to-use assets

Four weeks is deliberate. Long enough to think properly, short enough that nothing goes stale.

What changes

In four weeks, you will know.

Not a folder of files. Eight things you can say out loud, in a meeting, without hedging.

  • What actually makes you different, in words a customer would recognise.

  • Which audience matters most right now, and which one can wait.

  • What you should be talking about, and in what order.

  • Which channels deserve your attention, and which are simply habit.

  • Where AI genuinely saves you time, with the workflow to prove it.

  • Where it cannot help, and human judgement still earns its keep.

  • What to stop doing, and why it was never going to work.

  • Exactly what to do for the next ninety days, and who is doing it.

None of this is a document you file.It is how the next decision gets made.

When the direction is right

1365

Award nominations. Four weeks.

The brief wasn't to get more likes. It was to get more women nominated.

When Stellar & Rose joined the Inspirational Business Women in STEM & Construction campaign, there were 13 nominees. The awards were heading towards a celebration at the House of Lords.

The challenge wasn't to make the campaign more visible. It was to give more women in STEM and construction a reason to step forward.

So we didn't start with content. We started with the outcome. Who needed to hear this? What might stop them nominating? What would make the opportunity feel relevant enough to act on? Then we built the campaign around those answers.

Four weeks later, there were 65 nominees.

  • +199

New LinkedIn followers in less than one month

  • Entirely organic

    No paid media

The point isn't that every campaign needs more content. The point is knowing what the content is supposed to change.

That's the thinking behind the August Reset.

Also in the studio

  • Tesla Venture Studio

Strategy, founder communications, content ecosystems, pitch materials and startup education.

  • Cubo Interiors

Brand storytelling, digital presence and website work.

  • Develli

    Digital positioning and website experience.

Is this you?

The Reset is for businesses that have moved onbut their marketing hasn't quite moved with them.

  • The business has evolved.

The website, messaging or marketing still describes an earlier version of it.

  • Marketing happens in bursts.

Everyone is doing something, but nobody is entirely sure what deserves priority.

  • There is plenty of content.

There isn't a clear enough reason for anyone to pay attention to it.

  • AI has made production easier.

But it has also made it harder to know what should remain distinctly yours.

  • Different people describe the business differently.

Sales says one thing, the website says another and social media has developed a personality of its own.

  • You know the marketing could be better.

You don't need another tool. You need someone to work out where to start.

Probably not for you if

You're simply looking for somebody to produce a high volume of cheap content from a brief. The August Reset begins before production.

We work out what is worth producing first.
